Photoshoot Prep - Hair, Make Up, Costume
I wanted my model to look natural for the photoshoot. Her natural, sweet look will make her look more vulnerable in the film and also encourage the audience to sympathise with her.
This is the make up i used:
I used concealer to hide any blemishes on my models face and then a cream foundation to make her complexion even and give a medium coverage, after this i used a pressed powder on the t-zone to minimize shine that would be heightened on camera. I used a range of pink blushers to make her look more flushed, the different shades contour her cheekbones making them effective and defined. Eyeliner on her waterline makes her eyes stand out in the images and mascara opens her eyes making them look big and welcoming to the audience. Finally i used powdered highligher on her inner eyes to make them look even bigger and on top of her cheek bones so they catch the light. I also used vaseline on her lips to make them look more plump but keep them natural.
To create the tousled waves in her hair i used velcro rollers while her hair was still damp and then brushed out the curls into loose waves. I left Ashleigh's hair down for most of the shoot as her long hair looks really effective in the images.
For her costume i chose a casual look with blue skinny jeans and a floral corsett top. The jeans are from Bershka and the top is from TK Maxx. I also used a blazer from Zara to smarten up the look and make her more sophisticated. I think this outfit will attract the audience as it is very on trend and also makes her look like your average girl next door who never steps out of line.
